Offer evaluator: a salary at your workload

Also in the Market Comparison: enter a base salary, any bonus ($ per wRVU above a threshold), how many patients you would see a day or a shift, days or shifts a week, weeks a year, and where you would see them (office and outpatient, including hospital outpatient clinics; hospital inpatient, observation, emergency department and critical care; nursing facility, domiciliary and home visits; or a mix).

The evaluator multiplies your encounters by the market's E/M work RVUs per encounter for that setting (25th percentile, median and 75th percentile among the specialty's clinicians in the market, from Original Medicare claims) and shows, as a scenario: estimated work RVUs a year, what the offer pays per estimated wRVU, per patient and per day or shift, the patients a day needed to reach the bonus threshold, and where that workload falls among the market's clinicians. It does not apply to specialties whose work is not counted in visits (anesthesia, radiology, pathology, mostly procedural specialties).
